Junior Data Scientist – Statistical Analytics 
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £30,000 – £40,000 per annum

Our client are an international market research consultancy, specialising in insights and strategy. They do some fascinating strategic work, helping clients understand complex social, cultural and economic dynamics and how these affect their consumers. Their work spans innovation and brand strategy, behavioural science and analytics.

About the Role
As a Junior Data Scientist, you will:

  • Develop your skills in analytics and data science techniques.
  • Assist in delivering insights that solve clients’ business challenges.
  • Learn to communicate complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Work closely with teams across the business to provide high-quality insights.
  • Gain exposure to a variety of projects, including brand strategy, product development, and corporate reputation.

What You’ll Need
Must-haves:

  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn new topics and methods quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards for deliverables.
  • Basic statistical knowledge (e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, clustering).
  • Familiarity with at least one statistical programming language (R or Python).
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain concepts clearly.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with survey data or familiarity with tools like SPSS.
  • Proficiency in tidyverse packages in R or Excel VBA programming.
  • Interest in current affairs, operational analytics, or financial analytics.
