Senior Research Executive – Qualitative

We are working with one of the UK’s largest independent market research agencies that specialise in public sector research. They are looking to hire a Research Manager to join the business.

The Client

They have more than 30 years’ experience of supporting clients to build and deepen their understanding of changing and ever more complex markets, people and society. They remain an independent business, driven forward by some of the brightest and most inquiring minds in the industry. Their core values encourage all of their employees to always be curious, intelligent and focused in their thinking, supporting our clients in making smarter decisions.

The Role

You will be working across a range of different public sector clients primarily some of the largest government organisation such as The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy and many others.

As the role is primarily qualitative you will be undertaking tasks such as designing research materials e.g. discussion guides to help generate insights for their clients as well as conducting the research yourself, moderating focus groups and running in-depth interviews. You will also play a part in helping the business achieve their growth targets by carrying out background research for proposal and report writing.

They also enrol new members into their Junior Training Program. This combines on-the-job and formal training and all members benefit from being part of a junior cohort. The scheme supports juniors in moving towards professional qualifications should you wish to pursue one!

This is a brilliant opportunity for a researcher who has some experience of conducting primary qualitative research but doesn’t require that experience to come from a public sector background which is a great opportunity to make the switch into the area if you’re passionate about using your research to help others.
